Just back from The 9th Protein Summit 2016, held in Lille, where I chaired Track III on new protein products and channels. Overall there were 300 delegates drawn from industry, retail and the investment community, including entrepreneurs in the sector. It was great to have the opportunity to discuss the challenges we face as the global population grows to 9 billion by 2050 - and the need to increase the proportion of protein consumption that comes from plant-based sources.
